After starting, the ECU registers the driver鈥檚 requirements and defines the operating performance of the engine, using and evaluating the inputs signals from different sensor. The supply pump draws fuel from the tank and delivers it to the rail. The injection operating high pressure (up to 1600 bar) is generated independently of the engine speed and injection fuel quantity and is stored, ready for each injection process, in the rail The start of injection and the injected fuel quantity are always calculated by the ECU and via the injectors, are implemented at each cylinder, through a triggered solenoid valve, following the firing order.
